Big Day, or Quadruple Bi-Pass
A big day, a 36 mile loop for me and Jason on August 12th. We had been planning the trip all summer and finally the day came and went and we kept walking for 13 hours until we stopped. It was completed. Over Parker Pass, Koip Peak Pass, Gem Pass, and then Donahue Pass. It was a challenge and beautiful. We said we would probably never do it again, and anything over 30 miles should become 2 days of walking. But now, after a week, we could probably do this size hike again next year. Thanks Rojo! The snapshots are out of order, and I accidently deleted the first memory card with memories of the first 12 miles. I am holding up my hands in the 24 position in honor of the summit of Donahue Pass and celebrating the fact that we had reached mile 24, and had only 12 miles left that were all downhill into Tuolomnee. Enjoy.
